Prior to visiting our museum on a field trip, teachers are encouraged to show the following video to students. This video is available on both YouTube and SchoolTube.

During the field trip, older students should take notes about Oklahomans featured in our "Oklahoma Through Its People" (OTIP) exhibit and prepare to write a short essay about one of the OTIP characteristics. These include:

• Individualism
• Optimism
• Pioneer Spirit
• Generosity
• Perseverance

A 1 page instruction sheet (PDF format) is available which provides instructions students can follow to record or write short reflections about an Oklahoman featured in OTIP using the website VoiceThread.
