New in 2007, the Oklahoma Heritage Association Teen Board is made up of high school students from around central Oklahoma. These high schoolers are chosen to serve on the board after an application and interview process, and work throughout their term to promote the mission of the OHA. The main project of the Teen Board is to develop and implement a Battle of the Bands fund-raiser to benefit the Association.
In its first year, the Teen Board presented a check to the Oklahoma Heritage Association and Gaylord-Pickens Museum for more than $15,000, all of which will benefit the organizations' education program.
Applications for the 2008-2009 Teen Board are coming soon!
